Service and Support

Unlike many other online companies that reply with generic email responses, an actual person answers each and every email received by Computer Place Inc. In addition we strive to answer every email within a 24 hour period. Sometimes this is not always possible but we do answer all email as soon as possible and in the shortest time possible. We have kind representatives that genuinely care about you and your order. We will do everything we can to satisfy you, as we want you to remain a Computer Place Inc. customer. Billing and Payment

We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. There are no credit card surcharges. Please be sure to provide the exact name, billing address, and telephone number as they appear on the credit card statement. Incorrect information may cause a delay in the time processing the order. Orders that are shipped to an address other than the billing address listed with the credit card company require a temporary, alternate shipping note added to the account. Applying this note may also cause a delay in processing time. This note is required for first time purchases only and is used to verify that the cardholder is placing the order. This is for your security. Please note that we will only accept credit cards issued by a bank or other financial institution within the U.S. with verifiable references. All transactions are subject to verification for safety and security purposes.

We also accept cashier's checks, money orders, personal checks, money wires, and approved purchase orders. Certified funds and personal checks must clear before a product ships. Please contact our Sales or Accounts Receivable Department for more payment information

Net 30 Terms

Net 30 Terms Purchase Orders have a minimum required amount of $500.00. Due to the high cost of providing Net 30 Terms to our customers, we have no choice but add an additional 5% handling fee on the total amount of the Purchase Order. This cost, of course, can be avoided if the product that you wish to purchase was acquired through a credit card or pre-payment terms.

Unlike government and educational institutions, private companies are required to submit a credit application before any Net 30 Terms Purchase is affected. It normally takes a week or two for credit applications to be processed. This depends largely on the speedy response of your trade/bank references.

Sales Tax

If you are a reseller and would like to have your sales tax waived, please fill out the Resale Certificate Form, reference your order number and send through fax # (718) 206-2981, together with a copy of your Seller's Permit.

Shipping

After placing your order you will receive a confirmation email with details of the order you just placed. Also included in your confirmation email is important information regarding your order and guidelines pertaining to your order.  Most orders we receive before 11am EST that do not require custom system building will generally ship the same day that we receive them. Some orders may require a little longer, depending on availability and location of warehouse used.

If you choose  Next Day AM, Next Day or 2 day shipment terms, your order will be logged accordingly and will usually be fulfilled and shipped the same day if received by us before 11am EST , subject to availability, and to completion of any custom built product that you may order.

Orders are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or other freight forwarders. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii residents must be shipped 2-day air. Items in stock will be shipped to you from the closest of numerous distribution centers throughout the United States. 

International Shipping

Please note that we are unable to accept International orders at this time. This includes APO addresses, Canada and Guam . Unfortunately, at this time we can only fulfill orders that are shipped within the Continental United States. We are working on expanding our shipping options and hope to bring you this service at a later date. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Back Orders

Computer Place Inc. does not usually accept back orders. If the product you ordered is unavailable, we will generally inform you via email that we cannot fulfill your order and we will not charge your credit card, or if availability ran out while in shipping process we will refund your credit card and inform you via email or via telephone.

Warranty and Computer Place Inc Extended Warranty

All new Products carry the full manufacturer warranty. Computer Place Inc. warrants all new products for the first 30 days from the date of purchase. Products that fail within the first 30 days can be provided with a new replacement. Customer is responsible for return shipment of the defective products.

Warranties for used, open box, and refurbished products vary. Contact our sales department for warranty information regarding these products. Computer Place Inc. offers you a free 3-month extended warranty on most new products purchased online. You will have another 3 months of coverage from the date till the manufacturer's warranty expires provided to you by Computer Place Inc. Items purchased on our clearance page and some products do not qualify, please ask our sales team for warranty coverage information for the item you are interested in prior to placing your order.

Please note: A damaged product is a product that has physically been damaged during transit. This box is damaged and the product inside is damaged. A defective product is a product that has arrived in good order, but fails to operate as the manufacturer intended it to function once installed.

How Can I avail to the 3 month extended warranty?

•  To find out if your item is covered by our 3-month Extended warranty, please email rma@computerplaceny.com and we will advise you if it qualifies and where to send it for service.

Pricing, typographical Errors, availability and specifications on www.computerplaceny.com and Search Engines advertising Computer Place Inc. Products.

Due to the fast pace of the computer and consumer products industries, prices, specifications and availability of products change without prior notice. Due to the volatile nature of the computer industry, product descriptions may not reflect current technical information. Any typographical, photographic or specification error in product, pricing, or offers is subject to correction. We make every effort to provide you with the most accurate, up-to-the-minute information. Despite our best efforts, a small number of items on our web site may be wrongly priced. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical, photographic, or technical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Computer Place Inc. shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price.

If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and ship you the item. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will cancel your order and notify you of the price error and order cancellation. You will, of course, have an opportunity to purchase the item at the correct price, if you so wish.

While we make every attempt to verify prices before charging your credit card, Computer Place Inc. shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed on wrongly priced products whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Computer Place Inc. shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

Although Internet online processing generates an automatic confirmation and response via email, Computer Place Inc. may make changes on pricing, product description, and/or specification, after the confirmation and prior to product shipment. Such changes are intended to cope with situations including, but not limited to, corrections to errors, changing market conditions, discontinuation and/or unavailability of products. Computer Place Inc. reserves the right to limit and/or prohibit any sale in its sole discretion. Proof of purchase and postage may be required for any rebate program.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel an order, please email cancellation@computerplaceny.com Due to the fast processing time we provide, we can only guarantee the cancellation request of your order for the following:

  • Your order is on-hold due to credit card verification or item is not available.

Please note! All times are Eastern Time.

There are no charges for cancellation prior to shipping. The customer is held responsible for all shipping charges for orders cancelled after shipment.

Returns

How do I return my products to Computer Place Inc.?

  • All returns must include a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#). Without this number, we cannot accept the merchandise back to the warehouse.
  • In order to get a RMA number you will need to email us at rma@computerplaceny.com .
  • Once you email us, you will be asked to fill out our simple return form. You will need to supply us with detailed explanation of your return, your order number, your name and the description of the item you wish to return.
  • Please note that all non-defective returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  • All returns must be made within 30 days from the date the product was delivered. Returns after 30 days will not be accepted.
  • Items must be in its original packaging, in new condition with all warranty cards, manuals and accessories that were provided.
  • The package must be sent back to us with a carrier that can provide a tracking number. This is a must for verification purposes.
  • Please allow 10 business days for your return to be processed once it has arrived at the warehouse.
  • If you request a replacement, we will process and ship your replacement after we have received your returned product. We can only provide replacement for the same manufacturer part number as previously ordered. If you want a different item, we suggest that you request for a store credit.
  • If you request for a store credit, we will provide you with the store credit email 5 to 7 business days after we received the return product from our warehouse. This store credit email can be utilized by placing your order to our sales staff. This is treated as a new order; therefore you will also have a new order number.
  • Opened or tampered-with software, inks, media, consumables are non-returnable.
  • Computer systems, notebook systems and handhelds are non-returnable.
  • Some items are non-returnable and returns of certain products need to be made through the manufacturer directly as dictated to us by the manufacturer. Our RMA team will advise you of the return instructions for your product once we receive your RMA application form.

My product arrived defective?

  • All defective products may be returned within 30 days from date delivered for a replacement or credit. After 30 days from date delivered, please contact the manufacturer for their warranty replacement.
  • Unfortunately after 30 days from date delivered, we can no longer accept a product for return even if factory sealed.
  • All shipping related expense in sending back a defective item is always paid for by the customer. You may choose whichever carrier you prefer as long as they can provide a tracking number. However, Computer Place Inc. will pay for the total shipping expense in sending a replacement product back to the customer. Ground delivery only.
  • If a refund is requested instead of a replacement, we will refund you the cost of the item but not the shipping charges.
  • If a part of the product is defective, please return the whole product, including all manuals and accessories, in the original packaging. We do not stock all our items in one location and therefore we need to return the entire defective product to the manufacturer for a complete replacement.

My package was damaged during transit?

  • If your package arrived damaged and the shipping company caused it, please refuse the delivery of the package so that it will be returned to us. Please then advise us immediately that you have refused the package. Please email rma@computerplaceny.com with your original order number after you have refused the package.
  • If you were unable to refuse the delivery, please call the courier company that delivered you the package and ask them to pick up the damaged package. Make sure you get a receipt for the pickup. Advise us via email ( rma@computerplaceny.com ) and provide us with your original order number.
  • When you advise us via email of the damaged package, please indicate if you want immediate replacement or refund.
  • For replacement, we can only send you a replacement once the courier company has picked up the damaged product.
  • For refund, we will refund your credit card with the full cost of the item after 10 to 14 business days upon receipt by our warehouse.
